The Spyder5 software is available for both Windows and Mac OS platforms, and it's a separate download for Express, Pro or Elite versions, rather than a single combined app that unlocks different features with your serial number. (That, by the way, is found on a small sticker in the bottom of the package.) Downloading doesn't take very long, with a file size of around 65-69MB for Windows users, and 49-61MB for Mac users.

Your new frame has a serial number on the front triangle, the rear triangle, and on the top suspension link. For 2020 and newer models the serial number QR code is located under the downtube near the headtube for the front triangle, on the non-drive side vertical strut for the rear triangle, and on top or bottom of the carbon toplink. Medalist (1994-95) & TXT (1994 to 2003)On these models the manufacturers code and serial number can be found on a plate in the passenger side glove box. The manufacturers code DOES include the model year. This number will usually be: One letter followed by 3 to 4 numbers. In that case the last two digits are the year it was made. The serial number is a 6 or 7 digit number that does NOT indicate the model year.
Out of the box, the SpyderX Elite is lightweight and compact. The instructions in the box indicate where to go to download the software, and the license key/serial number is also in the box. The rest of the process is all about the software.Once you have entered the serial number and entered your personal information(optional), then you are ready to go.
